From One Family to Another

The Best Little Poboy House began in 1984 as a small restaurant owned and operated by Sharon and Bruce Broussard. Initially, it was a two employee establishment serving lunch to about thirty locals daily. In 2019, Chris and Christina Sanchez bought the lunch spot with an eye toward bringing something new to Port Allen. After much remodeling, Poboy House was reborn. In November of 2019, Poboy House began serving new, gourmet versions of the city’s favorite sandwiches and salads along side some long time staples. Every few months, the menu is updated and refreshed to reflect new trends and discoveries. Only the freshest produce and the highest quality meats are married with other locally sourced ingredients to create a menu with fine dining inspiration in a classic southern format. Poboy House is also proud to offer custom cakes and other fine confections made fresh in-house, daily and by appointment.
